Whip it / Катись! (2009)

Bliss Cavendar (Ellen Page) is an ordinary high school student living in a backwater American province who dreams of escaping into a big life that is absent in her hometown. Despite her daughter's wishes, her mother drags the nondescript Bliss through beauty contests, intending to become a mother of at least "Miss America". One day, a flyer from the rollerdrome catches the girl's eye, where special roller races between women's teams are arranged. Bliss decides to change her life abruptly and signs up for a team of loose and cool roller skaters.
"Whip it!" is the debut of actress Drew Barrymore as a director.
