During the day, Patrick Bateman is completely indistinguishable from those around him; in a crowd of people one can overlook him. In the modern world, fashionable clothes, visits to prestigious restaurants are becoming the hallmark of a person. Patrick is very successful in this business and does everything to stay on top: he constantly cares for his skin, body, face. However, at night, an obsessive passion for violence wakes up in him and a law-abiding citizen turns into a sophisticated killer who terrifies a sleeping city. Patrick opens a series of senseless and bloody murders, despising the generally accepted laws of mankind. He feeds only on his sizzling sense of hatred, which is already coming to the limit.
